The challenges in this pre-operative step are to crush the sample homogeneously and not to contaminate the sample on the way to analysis.
Microbiological and molecular biological analysis of patient samples demands reliable and contamination-free sample preparation. With the ULTRA-TURRAX® Tube Drive, IKA offers a powerful, universal disruption drive operated in combination with patented disposable plastic containers. The sample containers specially developed for in-vitro diagnostics are available in single or double sterile packaging and are pre-filled with 5 ml of 0.90% saline solution. This ready-to-use solution addresses the key challenges of homogeneous sample crushing and prevention of cross-contamination. Power: 20 W, speed range: 300–6,000 rpm, voltage: 100–240 V.
