Brand® volumetric flasks provide the highest accuracy. Strict statistical quality controls ensure maintenance of these high standards.

Volumetric flasks are indispensable for preparing dilutions and standard solutions.

Standard volumetric flasks are supplied with a square-grip PP stopper with a dripping tip. These stoppers reduce the danger of breakage if a flask tips over, and help to prevent it from rolling off the workbench. These volumetric flasks are also available with glass stopper.

All Blaubrand® volumetric flasks are supplied with a batch number and an accompanying batch certificate in the original packaging.

On request, they are also available with an individual certificate, USP individual certificate or DAkkS (formerly DKD) calibration certificate.

Brand ® manufactures glass volumetric instruments in accordance with current DIN EN ISO standards.  Specified error limits are observed with at least 99.6% reliability. Brand® confirms this by including batch, individual, or DAkkS certificates, which also show that the Brand® products frequently perform far beter than specified error limits.

Blaubrand® volumetric instruments are robust, so that they provide a long service life. 

Blaubrand® volumetric instruments can be heated up to 250°C in a drying cabinet or sterilizer without causing permanent change in volume.

The reference temperature 20°C applies to Blaubrand® volumetric instruments.

The testing of volumetric instruments is done gravimetrically according to DIN EN ISO 4787.

USP certificate:

Companies that manufacture pharmaceutical products for the American market and are therefore audited by US agencies such as the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) are obligated to meet the requirements of USP (United States Pharmacopeia). The current USP describes in Chapter 31 that the Class A error limits specified in the ASTM standards are required for glass volumetric instruments. These error limits are listed in tables for volumetric flasks, bulb pipettes, and burettes. For graduated pipettes up to and including the 10 ml size, the error limits are listed in the text.

Selected Blaubrand® volumetric instruments can be delivered with volume error limits in compliance with United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) with batch certificate and on request with individual certificate. The measuring instrument shows the requested error limit and the USP sign.

USP certificates are not possible for wide neck volumetric flasks.
