Surface kit 10ml neutralising broth in skirted tube with viscose swab
Surface kit :
The new surface kits are supplied with a swab and a tube containing a buffered broth with neutralising agents. Kits are intended for surface sampling for subsequent microbiological analysis. The kit is a single use product and is sterilised by radiation.
The medium is a buffered broth that contains five neutralising agents, and is suitable for monitoring microbial contamination on surfaces that have been in contact with disinfectants. Intended to be used in industries such as food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, medical devices, etc.
The swab is composed of a polystyrene support and a viscose tip. In ref.A34728, the tube incorporates a pressure plug and contains 5 ml of medium, whereas in code A33839, the cap is screwed, contains 10 ml of medium and the swab has a break point to allow being introduced into the tube once the sample has been taken.
The kit is intended to be used by skilled personnel, properly trained. The surface sampling must be carried out under appropriate hygienic conditions and following the standard ISO 18953 “Food microbiology for human and animal consumption. Horizontal methods for sampling techniques from surfaces using contact plates and swabs”.
The swab and the tube containing the medium is presented individually wrapped in a peel-pack format.
