Rainin tips ER-LTS-20µl-/F-960/10

The EarthRack system replaces conventional polypropylene (PP) racks with a frame made of bio-based cellulose derived from bamboo and sugarcane. When composted or incinerated, CO₂ emissions are net zero: the carbon released was previously biologically fixed during plant growth. The only plastic part is the recyclable tip deck (polypropylene #5). As a result, an EarthRack contains up to 82% less plastic than a standard Rainin rack.

The integrated aerosol barrier filter protects the pipette mechanism against aerosol contamination from radioactive, biological or chemical samples. The filter absorbs liquid droplets that can be released during forceful pipetting, preventing cross-contamination between samples and damage to the piston.

All Rainin BioClean Ultra pipette tips are manufactured in a Class 100,000 cleanroom with fully automated material handling (zero human contact). Each batch is tested for: human DNA (<0.32 pg), bacterial DNA (<1 pg), RNase (≤10⁻⁹ KU/µL), DNase (≤10⁻⁷ KU/µL), endotoxins (≤0.001 EU/mL), proteins (<2 ng/tip), proteases (≤500 ng/mL), PCR inhibitors (not detected) and ATP (<2×10⁻¹² mg/µL).

LTS vs. universal: what is the difference?
The Rainin LTS (LiteTouch System) is a proprietary pipette-tip system in which the shaft is cylindrical rather than conical. A small sealing ring near the top of the tip creates a perfect, leak-free connection with the shaft. A positive stop prevents over-insertion of the tip. The result: up to 85% less force required for tip loading and ejection. This significantly reduces the risk of repetitive strain injuries (RSI) during intensive pipetting. Moreover, the consistent seal improves reproducibility regardless of the user or channel. LTS tips are exclusively compatible with Rainin LTS pipettes and are not intended for use with other brands or non-LTS Rainin pipettes.
