The Neogen® Sponge-Stick is a biocide-free cellulose sponge (1.5 x 3 inch), pre-hydrated with Buffered Peptone Water Broth and mounted on a stick for convenient sample collection. The stick enables access to hard-to-reach areas like drains and pipes while preventing direct contact with the sponge, ensuring sample integrity. Designed in line with HACCP protocols, it comes with a Neogen® Sample Bag (30 oz/0.89 L) for safe transport to the lab. The sponge is durable, absorbent, gamma-irradiated for long shelf life, and supports the recovery of sub-lethally injured microorganisms such as Salmonella and E. coli.
