This blue membrane screw cap in polypropylene has a welded-in expanded PTFE membrane, for pressure equilisation during autoclaving. It is suitable for storage or transport of gas generating media and autoclaving of media.

- The PTFE membrane and its polypropylene mesh support are ultrasonically welded in place forming a durable seal
- Cost effective as the caps can be reused several times (replacement is recommended after 3 to 5 autoclave cycles due to durability, or if the membrane becomes damaged or contaminated)
- Polytetrafluoroethylene membrane (conforms to USP 121 °C Class VI) with polypropylene mesh
