The micro sparger HA.sp.m.5 is a gassing pipe designed to introduce gas into the culture medium of bioreactor vessels. Its exceptionally small pore diameter of 5 µm generates very fine bubbles, promoting optimal oxygen transfer while minimising foam formation. This makes it ideally suited for sensitive cell types such as mammalian cells, which are susceptible to foam-induced damage. The HA.sp.m.5 is specifically sized for 5-liter bioreactor vessels and integrates seamlessly into the IKA bioreactor system.
