The glassy carbon electrode is a premium electrode material for the ElectraSyn 2.0 platform, characterised by an exceptionally smooth, non-porous surface and a wide electrochemical potential window. Unlike standard graphite, glassy carbon does not absorb organic compounds, which significantly improves the reproducibility of electrochemical synthesis reactions. The material is chemically inert and resistant to most organic solvents and electrolytes commonly used in organic electrosynthesis. Each set contains 2 electrodes, sized for direct use with the ElectraSyn 2.0 microvial system.
