The IKA AOD 1.2 is a 45 W external ignition unit designed for use with the AOD 1.1 decomposition vessel, supplied with a 5 m ignition cable for safe remote operation. Use of the AOD 1.3 protection device is required, unless another suitable protection device is already in place. In the latter case, the AOD 1.13 Remote Ignition Head, which adds 1 m of additional cable length, may be used instead. The unit operates at a supply voltage of 200–240 V and delivers 45 W of heating power. The AOD 1.2 is an essential component for safe and controlled ignition within the IKA AOD system.
