The BRAND Liquid Handling Station flow is a pipetting robot with integrated FlowBox for sterile liquid handling under particle- and microorganism-free conditions. The BRAND Liquid Handling Station flow combines the full functionality of the Liquid Handling Station with an integrated FlowBox that generates a horizontal laminar airstream across the work area. The system is specifically designed for applications requiring particle- and microorganism-free liquid handling, including sterile cell culture, preparation of assay-ready plates in GMP environments, microbiological applications, pharmaceutical QC and molecular biology research. The FlowBox filters incoming air through an H14 HEPA filter at 99.995% separation efficiency per DIN EN 1822. Internal air is exchanged more than 4 times per minute (260-fold with door closed, 330-fold with door open). Air speed: 0.4 m/s (door closed), 0.5 m/s (door open). Volumetric flow: 22 m³/h (closed), 29 m³/h (open). The work area is free of particles at 0.5 µm, 0.7 µm, 1 µm, 3 µm and 5 µm within 4 minutes of activation (measurement: LIGHTHOUSE Handheld 5016, 2.83 l/min). Compliance: ISO 14644-1 Class 5 and GMP Annex 1 Class A. Note: FlowBox operation is not suitable for samples posing a health risk when dispersed by laminar airflow (e.g. biological agents Risk Group 2 or above). The work table, Liquid Ends, control software and all other specifications are identical to the Liquid Handling Station (cat. no. 709400), except for weight (approx. 35 kg), dimensions (H662 × W595 × D515 mm closed) and a second USB port.
