The device can be used for routine operations such as washing cells from culture medium and resuspension in buffer. The operating principle of the aspirator is based on creating negative pressure in the receiving flask using a built-in microcompressor. The receiving tip is connected to the receiving flask by a polyethylene tube. Liquid is removed from the reaction vessel when the receiving tip comes into contact with the solution. A tube holder organizer is conveniently located on the right side of the FTA-2i; it accommodates two slots for 1.5-2 ml tubes (e.g. for hydrochloric acid solution and distillate) needed for washing and storing the receiving tip, so that one tip can be reused. The FTA-2i is equipped with a level sensor that detects excess liquid and prevents overflow by automatically switching off the pump with an alarm signal. The devices are supplied as standard with a vacuum control knob that allows you to smoothly select the desired aspiration rate.
